Social Welfare Pension
Welfare Pension is a financial assistance scheme implemented through the Local Self Government Department and various Welfare Fund Boards in Kerala to ensure financial security for eligible persons belonging to different sections of society. Pension Categories and Eligibility Criteria
The following are the various pension schemes available through the Grama Panchayat and their eligibility criteria:
Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension
A monthly pension provided to eligible senior citizens aged 60 years and above, subject to the prescribed conditions.
Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension
A pension provided to eligible widowed women to ensure financial security and social protection.
Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension
A government pension scheme for eligible persons with physical or mental disabilities, subject to the prescribed conditions.
Pension for Unmarried Women Above 50 Years of Age
A special pension scheme for eligible unmarried women aged 50 years and above, subject to the prescribed conditions.
Agricultural Labour Pension
Financial assistance provided during old age to eligible agricultural labourers who have been engaged in agricultural labour for their livelihood, subject to the prescribed conditions.
